'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the initial significant achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich is Kane's top focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
